FALL SEASON

Yom Teru'ah: Feast of Trumpets - Vayiqra (Leviticus) - 23: 23-25

Picture
And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Speak unto the children of Yashar'el, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Shabbath, a memorial of blowing of shofars, a holy assembly.

Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah.

Application for us:

A coming together of His people. We are to treat it as a Shabbath Day.
I think of it as dinner with the family while talking about and praising Yahuah for His wonderful works in our lives.

Yom Kippuriym: The Day of Atonement - Vayiqra (Leviticus)23: 26-32

Picture
And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippuriym: it shall be a holy assembly unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah.

And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is Yom Kippuriym, to make an atonement for you before Yahuah Elohaykem.

For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

And whatsoever soul it be that does any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.

Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

It shall be unto you a Shabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening unto evening, shall ye celebrate your Shabbath.

Application for us:

A time for fasting or "giving up something" on this day. It has to be something that you will truly miss, hence afflict your soul.
Also to be treated as a Shabbath.

Cukkoth: Feast of Tabernacles - Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23: 33-43

Picture
And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Speak unto the children of Yashar'el, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Cukkoth for seven days unto Yahuah.

On the first day shall be a holy assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein.

Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah: on the eighth day shall be a holy assembly unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

These are the feasts of Yahuah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy assemblies, to offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah, an ascending smoke offering, and an oblation, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, everything upon his day:

Beside the Shabbaths of Yahuah, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto Yahuah.

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yahuah seven days: on the first day shall be a Shabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Shabbath.

And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yahuah Elohaykem seven days.

And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yahuah seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

Ye shall dwell in cukkoth seven days; all that are Yashar'el born shall dwell in cukkoth:

That your generations may know that I made the children of Yashar'el to dwell in cukkoth, when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim:
I am Yahuah Elohaykem.

Application for us:

I think of this feast day or days as a family reunion. Some assemblies actually go on a sort of camping trip for these eight days.
It is when we offer up our gifts to Yahuah and REJOICE!
